Victron DC to DC Converters and Chargers

These devices charge an auxiliary battery, either from a vehicle alternator or primary battery bank. Customers use these for RV house batteries and marine dual-battery systems more than anything else. But, we also see van builders rely on them as well. Whatever the application, the charger’s job is to make sure your secondary bank gets the proper multi-stage charge it needs, no matter what your alternator puts out. 

Isolated models protect sensitive electronics and prevent ground loops between two independent battery systems. On the other hand, non-isolated models share a common ground. That works when both batteries are part of the same electrical system. Isolated is usually the safer bet.

No - the Victron DC to DC charger lineup is specifically made for battery-to-battery charging. You need a separate Victron charge controller for a solar panel input with MPPT. 

Start by getting more specific about your input and output voltages. Most mobile setups are either 12V or 24V. 48V is usually only for larger fixed systems that stay in one place.
