The Victron Energy Orion IP67 24/12-100A is a fully encapsulated, non-isolated DC-to-DC converter stepping down a 24V input to a stable 12V output at up to 100A continuous — delivering up to 1200W of converted power for 12V loads and equipment in marine, automotive, RV, and industrial applications.

Built into a cast aluminium enclosure with resin-moulded electronics, the Orion IP67 24/12-100A is fully waterproof, shockproof, and ignition protected, making it suitable for permanent installation in bilges, engine rooms, machine rooms, and other harsh environments where exposure to water, oil, and dirt is a regular concern.

At the top of the 24V-to-12V Orion IP67 range, the 24/12-100A uses M6 bolt DC connections to handle the substantial cable requirements of a 100A 12V output, accommodating the heavy gauge wiring necessary for high-current installations.

The Orion IP67 24/12-100A operates across an 18–35V input voltage range with under-voltage shutdown at 15V and restart at 16V, protecting the 24V source from deep discharge during conversion operations. No-load current draw at 24V is 85mA — slightly higher than the smaller models in the range due to the unit's larger internal circuitry — but remains low enough to avoid significant parasitic drain on the 24V source battery when no 12V load is connected. Output ripple and noise is 150mVpp, shared with the 12/24-50A model. As a non-isolated converter, input and output share a common ground — an important distinction when planning system wiring in applications where ground separation between source and load circuits is required; for those applications, the Orion-Tr isolated DC-DC converter range is recommended instead. Reverse polarity protection requires an external fuse or circuit breaker on the input side; this protection is not built into the unit and must be provided by the installer.
