Description
The Victron Energy Orion-Tr 24/12-9A is a galvanically isolated DC-DC converter delivering 9A of continuous output current at 110W, with adjustable output voltage, remote on/off control, and unlimited parallel expandability for 24V-to-12V power conversion in vehicle, marine, and industrial applications.

The Orion-Tr 24/12-9A accepts an input voltage range of 16–35V with under-voltage shutdown at 14V and restart at 15V, delivering a nominal 12.2V output with ±0.2V tolerance and 2mV RMS output noise. Continuous output power is 110W at 25°C and 85W at 40°C, with a peak output of 12.5A for 10 seconds and a short-circuit output current rating of 39A at 85% efficiency.
Current consumption drops to under 200µA when the unit is disabled via its remote port, minimizing parasitic drain in standby. The unit connects via screw terminals with a maximum cable cross-section of 6mm²/AWG10 and operates across a wide temperature range with automatic output derating above 40°C to protect against thermal damage without shutdown.
