Epoch Batteries 12V 460Ah 5.89kWh Essential Series LiFePO4 Battery

If you’re trying to pack as much usable 12V capacity as possible into one battery, the Epoch 12460A-H is built for exactly that kind of job. With 460Ah of LiFePO4 storage, built-in heating, Bluetooth monitoring, and a Group 8D footprint, it gives larger RV, marine, solar, and off-grid systems a serious amount of energy without turning the battery bank into a wall of smaller cases.

• 460Ah High-Capacity Group 8D Storage – Stores 5.89kWh of energy in a single battery, giving larger systems plenty of breathing room between charges. At 80% planning energy, that works out to roughly 47 hours for a 100W DC load or a little over 9 hours for a 500W load.

• Internal Self-Heating for Cold-Weather Charging – When temperatures drop below the safe charging range, the built-in heater takes over automatically. That allows charging in temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F) without having to manually warm or disconnect the battery.

• 200A Continuous Output with 400A Peak – Provides up to 200A of continuous discharge and a 400A surge for 10 seconds, giving larger inverters and demanding DC loads plenty of current to work with. The integrated BMS also watches for overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuits, and unsafe temperatures.

• Bluetooth Monitoring via iOS & Android – Battery checks don’t need to involve opening a compartment or grabbing a meter. The Epoch app gives you a live look at voltage, current, temperature, battery status, and BMS protection information from a compatible phone.

• Scalable 4S4P Configuration – One battery offers plenty of capacity on its own, but the system can grow with you. Connect up to four in series for 51.2V systems or four in parallel for up to 1,840Ah of combined 12V capacity, with a maximum 4S4P configuration totaling 94.21kWh.

The 12460A-H is a natural fit for systems where battery capacity disappears quickly — larger motorhomes, live-aboard boats, off-grid cabins, solar storage banks, van conversions with heavy inverter loads, and backup power setups that may need to carry a load for hours or even days. With 5.89kWh packed into one enclosure, it gives you a lot of storage without making the installation unnecessarily complicated.

Inside, the 4S2P prismatic LiFePO4 cell arrangement is paired with an internal heating system to keep the battery useful across a wide range of temperatures. Cold-weather charging is handled automatically, while low-temperature protection helps keep the cells from being pushed outside their safe operating range.

The Group 8D format also makes the battery easier to work into larger installations that already use standard large-format trays. At 84 lbs, it’s certainly not the battery you casually carry around with one hand, but that weight buys you 460Ah of capacity in a single enclosure. The IP54 housing adds dust and splash resistance for RV, marine, and outdoor environments where things are rarely perfectly clean or dry.

Bluetooth monitoring keeps the important information within easy reach, while the maintenance-free LiFePO4 chemistry and 4,000+ cycle rating are designed for long-term use with minimal attention. The 12460A-H uses cells carrying UL 1642 certification and also meets UL 9540A and IEC 62619:2022 requirements. CE and RoHS compliance are included as well, and the battery is classified under UN 38.3 Class 9 requirements for lithium battery transport. Epoch backs it with an 11-year warranty.
