Description
Why carry one battery for starting and another for everything else if one can handle both jobs? The Epoch DP12300H combines 300Ah of deep-cycle LiFePO4 capacity with up to 1,000A of cranking power, giving marine, RV, and off-grid systems a serious amount of starting and house power in one rugged package. Add internal heating, Bluetooth, CAN/RS485 communication, and an IP67 enclosure, and this is a battery made for installations that tend to see more than perfect weather and easy weekends.
-
Dual-Purpose Cranking and Deep Cycle – Starts compatible engines with up to 1,000A of peak cranking current for 5 seconds, then sticks around to provide 300Ah of deep-cycle house power. For the right marine or RV setup, that can mean fewer batteries, less wiring, and a much cleaner electrical system.
-
Internal Self-Heating for Sub-Zero Operation – Cold mornings don't have to put charging on hold. The internal heater allows charging in temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F), making the DP12300H much better suited to winter travel, cold-weather boating, and year-round off-grid use.
-
300A Continuous Output with 1,000A Peak – This battery isn't shy about high-current loads. It delivers up to 300A continuously, provides a 1,000A surge for 5 seconds when cranking power is needed, and includes 1,200A short-circuit protection for an added layer of system safety.
-
CAN/RS485 and Bluetooth Communication – Bluetooth gives you an easy way to check battery information from a compatible iOS or Android device, while CAN/RS485 communication allows deeper integration with compatible inverter-chargers, monitoring equipment, and system controls.
-
6,000+ Cycle Service Life – Rated for more than 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, the DP12300H is built for systems that see regular use rather than spending most of their life parked in storage.
The DP12300H really earns its keep in setups where starting power and house power both matter. Large boats, RVs, off-grid cabins, service vehicles, and other high-demand systems can get 3.84kWh of usable battery storage without giving up the burst of current needed for engine starting. It also retains at least 96% of its capacity after 28 days of storage, so it's not overly eager to drain itself while you're away.
Need more capacity later? Up to 16 batteries can be connected in parallel for larger 12V banks, while systems requiring higher voltage can use configurations of up to four in series and four in parallel. The IP67 enclosure keeps dust and water from becoming an unnecessary concern, making it especially well suited to marine compartments and outdoor installations where conditions aren't always battery-friendly.
Then there are the little things that make living with a big battery easier. Bluetooth lets you keep tabs on it without crawling into a compartment with a meter, CAN/RS485 gives more advanced systems a proper communication path, and the internal heater quietly takes care of cold-weather charging when temperatures fall. With a self-discharge rate of no more than 3% per month, it's also perfectly happy sitting between trips without demanding constant attention.
