It delivers approximately 1,000 CCA of cranking capability alongside 172Ah of deep-cycle capacity and 200A of continuous output, all in a compact Group 31 footprint with Bluetooth monitoring built in.

The 12172A-DP is purpose-built for marine applications where a single battery bank needs to handle both starting and house loads — outboard motor vessels, RVs with engine starting requirements, and 12V systems that demand both high pulse current and reliable sustained discharge. At 2.20kWh stored energy with 80% planning energy, a single unit runs a 100W load for approximately 17.6 hours and a 500W load for about 3.5 hours.

Up to 4 units can be connected in parallel for a maximum 688Ah / 8.80kWh bank — series wiring is not listed for this model and should not be attempted without written Epoch approval. The IP65-rated ABS/PC blend UL94-V0 enclosure provides dust and water resistance for demanding marine and outdoor environments, and the Bluetooth app keeps full system visibility at your fingertips throughout every voyage or trip.

With UL 1642 cell certification, UL 9540A thermal runaway rating, IEC 62619:2022, CE, and RoHS compliance, and shipped as UN 38.3 Class 9 lithium, this battery meets the requirements for marine, RV, and mobile installations and ships without restriction.
