The RO membrane’s pore size is one-millionth the width of a human hair. Only water molecules and some beneficial mineral ions pass through, while heavy metals and impurities flow out through the drain line.
The sediment stage removes rust and large particles, the PET membrane filters finer particles, and the carbon block improves taste and odor. Each layer protects the membrane that follows.
The G2P600 system’s filter life indicators tell you when replacement is due. The cartridge measures 4.9 inches in diameter by 15 inches tall.
