Description
The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr VE.Can is a commercial-grade Bluetooth-enabled solar charge controller with VE.Can network interface, ultrafast MPPT tracking, and synchronized multi-unit parallel operation for large-scale 12V, 24V, and 48V solar installations.

- Programmable Relay & Remote On/Off — DPST programmable relay trips on alarms or user-defined events, with a 2-pole remote on/off connector for VE.BUS BMS integration.
The SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr VE.Can supports 12V, 24V, and 48V battery systems with automatic voltage detection, delivering 70A of rated charge current and handling up to 1,000W on 12V, 2,000W on 24V, and 4,000W on 48V systems. Its 150V maximum PV open circuit voltage and 35 mm² screw terminals support high-capacity solar string configurations.
An internal temperature sensor compensates absorption and float charge voltages automatically, while optional external battery voltage, temperature, and current sensing is available via Bluetooth through a Smart Battery Sense, BMV-712, or SmartShunt. The optional pluggable SmartSolar LCD display can be added by simply removing the front rubber seal for on-unit monitoring and setup.
Comprehensive protection covers PV reverse polarity, PV reverse current, output short circuit, and over-temperature derating, with 46 days of stored trend data onboard covering battery voltage, current, temperature, PV voltage, and PV current. The IP43-rated blue enclosure operates up to 5,000m altitude across -30°C to +60°C and meets EN/IEC 62109-1, UL 1741, and CSA C22.2 safety certifications.
