The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr is a high-power Bluetooth-enabled solar charge controller with ultrafast maximum power point tracking, a programmable relay, and advanced partial shading detection for large-scale 12V, 24V, and 48V commercial and off-grid solar installations.

The SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr supports 12V, 24V, and 48V battery systems with automatic voltage detection, delivering 70A of rated charge current and handling up to 1,000W on 12V, 2,000W on 24V, and 4,000W on 48V systems. Its 150V maximum PV open circuit voltage and 35 mm² screw terminals provide flexible, high-capacity solar array configurations.
An internal temperature sensor continuously compensates absorption and float charge voltages for ambient temperature, and a remote on/off input allows integration with VE.BUS BMS and other system components. The unit also supports unsynchronized parallel operation for scalable system expansion.
Comprehensive protection covers battery reverse polarity, PV reverse polarity, PV reverse current, output short circuit, and over-temperature derating for reliable long-term field deployment. The IP43-rated blue enclosure operates across -30°C to +60°C up to 5,000m altitude and meets EN/IEC 62109-1 safety standards.
