The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP67 Charger 12/7 is a Bluetooth-enabled 120V AC smart battery charger delivering 7A of charge current to 12V lead-acid and lithium battery banks via a standard NEMA 5-15 plug.
Where the IP65 rating of Victron's Blue Smart IP65 range offers splash and dust resistance, the IP67-rated enclosure of this model takes protection a significant step further — the cast aluminium housing with resin-moulded electronics is fully waterproof, shockproof, and ignition protected, capable of withstanding complete submersion and direct exposure to water, oil, and chemicals without damage.
As the entry-level model in the 12V Blue Smart IP67 120V range, the 12/7 brings the full waterproof IP67 build quality and Bluetooth-enabled VictronConnect functionality to smaller 12V battery banks where the higher-output IP67 models would be oversized.

Full rated 7A output is maintained up to 40°C ambient — a higher threshold than the IP65 range's 30°C full-output limit — with output current automatically reducing at 3% per °C above 40°C up to the 60°C maximum operating temperature, ensuring the charger continues to function safely in hot machine rooms and enclosed compartments without shutting down. The Start Interrupt (Si) output provides a short-circuit-proof signal with a 0.5A current limit, outputting up to one volt below the main charge output, for use in engine start interlock circuits.
The Blue Smart IP67 12/7 can also function as an automatic DC power supply when connected to a battery with loads attached, making it a practical dual-purpose tool for service and workshop environments. Two LED indicators provide at-a-glance charge status: a yellow LED indicates bulk charge (fast blink), absorption (slow blink), float (solid), or storage (off), while a green LED confirms power-on status. Battery reverse polarity protection is fuse-based on the IP67 range, providing reliable protection without requiring a charger reset after a wiring error. In LOW mode, output current reduces to 2A for silent, noiseless operation when charging sensitive or smaller battery banks.
