The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP67 12/17 is a Bluetooth-enabled, fully encapsulated waterproof smart battery charger delivering 17A of charge current from a 120V AC input, with a five-stage adaptive charge algorithm, Li-ion compatibility, and cast aluminium construction for 12V battery systems in the most demanding environments.

- Full Discharge Recovery ā Initiates charging on batteries discharged to 0V and reconnects to fully discharged Li-ion batteries with internal disconnect function.
The Blue Smart IP67 12/17 charges at 17A continuous (6A in low current mode for smaller batteries) with 95% efficiency, wasting three to four times less heat than industry-standard chargers, and reduces to under 0.5W no-load power once fully charged. Output current automatically derades 3% per Ā°C above 40Ā°C up to a maximum of 60Ā°C without charger failure, making it suitable for hot machine room installations.
Two onboard LEDs provide at-a-glance status indication ā a yellow LED indicates bulk (fast blink), absorption (slow blink), float (solid), or storage (off), while a green LED confirms power on. The 1.5m AC cable with NEMA 5-15 plug and 1.5m battery cable are included, with a start interrupt option providing short-circuit-proof current-limited output at up to one volt below the main output for engine start protection.
