Description
A rugged, NEMA 3R rainproof combiner engineered for high-voltage charge controllers in the 200–250 VDC class. The MNPV12-250 gives you a clean, code-friendly way to land up to six PV strings with 300 VDC touch-safe breakers (enclosure ships without breakers). Inside are big copper busbars and an insulating dead-front so wiring stays neat and safe.
You can run all six strings to one controller or split the box 3 + 3 to feed two independent HV controllers—handy for dual-MPPT systems or staged growth. The clear front window lets you read breaker states at a glance; labeled landing lugs and roomy knockouts make installs fast.
Aluminum construction, stainless hardware, and ETL listing round out a field-proven BOS piece for rooftops and ground-mounts that need tidy service loops and simple maintenance.
Technical Specifications
| Category | Specification |
|---|---|
| Application | PV string combiner for 200–250 VDC charge controllers |
| String capacity | Up to 6 strings using 300 VDC MNEPV breakers (sold separately) |
| Busbars (included) | Plus busbars ~168 A (join for 6-string or split 3 + 3); PV-negative busbar & ground busbar included |
| Enclosure | Type 3R rainproof, powder-coated aluminum; insulating dead-front |
| Terminations | Large landing lugs; typical wire range AWG 14–6 (see breaker spec) |
| Dimensions / weight | ≈14.5 × 12 × 3.5 in, ≈8 lb |
| Listings / warranty | ETL (US & Canada); typical 5-yr warranty |
| Typical use | Combine 6 strings to one HV controller or split 3 + 3 to two controllers |
Notes for installers: Size each string breaker to the module series-fuse rating, use copper conductors, and torque lugs per MidNite tables. When splitting 3 + 3, isolate the plus busbars as shown in the wiring diagram; PV-negative is common and grounds land on the dedicated bar. Maintain drip loops and leave service slack for future checks.
