The IR-W5MBCB MultiBallast™ Mount is a universal, low-tilt ballasted mounting solution designed to support a wide range of solar modules in either a 5° East/West ‘W’ configuration or a flat 0° orientation. Optimized for both rooftop and ground-mount environments, this innovative design allows solar professionals and installers to quickly deploy secure, no-penetration solar systems with maximum layout density.
Each kit is built from aircraft-grade aluminum, offering superior structural integrity while remaining lightweight and corrosion-resistant. This makes it perfect for long-term installations on commercial rooftops, parking structures, or any application where roof penetrations are not feasible.
The system is designed to work with standard concrete cinder blocks (CMUs) as ballast, eliminating the need for expensive custom-weight solutions. This makes installation cost-effective and flexible across a wide range of site conditions.
For maximum layout efficiency, the East/West ‘W’ configuration minimizes shading while reducing row spacing requirements—allowing tighter module spacing and greater total energy production per square foot.
