Description
A rugged, true-DC PV isolator designed to safely disconnect up to two strings (4 poles in series, 2 poles per string) in small and mid-size arrays. The SI25-PEL64R-4 uses IMO’s fast, operator-independent ratchet mechanism and knife-edge contacts to quench arcs quickly and reliably during loaded switching. The compact gray IP65/67 enclosure (variant-dependent) is built for outdoor service with rain and dust protection, while the lockable rotary handle supports safe LOTO practices. Inside, generous contact gaps and long arc-chambers are tuned for photovoltaic DC; the layout keeps wiring neat and accessible for field service. Use this unit between strings and inverter/combiner inputs to provide a visible, local means of isolation for maintenance and emergency shutdowns without adding complexity to BOS. It’s a durable, code-friendly component for rooftops, carports, and ground racks where weather resistance, repeatable switching, and clean installation matter.
