About the System
At the core of this off-grid kit is the Growatt SPF 3000TL-LVM-48P inverter/charger, capable of 3kW continuous output with a 6kW surge capacity — more than enough to run refrigerators, well pumps, and power tools without issue. An integrated 80A MPPT solar charge controller and 40A AC charger allow the system to draw power simultaneously from both solar panels and a backup generator.
Solar production is handled by eight TaleSun 445W bifacial panels, which capture light from both sides of the module, pulling in reflected energy from ground surfaces for up to 10% greater yield compared to standard single-sided panels. Their low-temperature coefficient also ensures strong performance on hot summer days when energy demand is at its highest.
Energy storage is provided by three MidNite Power MNPowerFlo5 batteries, delivering 15.36kWh of usable capacity rated for 6,000+ charge cycles and backed by a 10-year warranty. Built on LiFePO4 chemistry, these batteries offer superior thermal stability and safety over other lithium technologies. An advanced battery management system continuously monitors cell voltage, temperature, and state of charge, while active cell balancing keeps the system running at peak efficiency.
The kit is also designed with growth in mind. The Growatt inverter supports parallel stacking of up to six units, and the modular battery architecture makes adding future storage simple. Pre-wired balance-of-system components — including the MidNite Solar MNBIGBUSBAR, pre-lugged battery cables, and MNSPD600 surge protector — are included to streamline installation and reduce setup time.
