Solar Pool Pumps

Solar Pool Pumps

Solar pool pumps will replace almost any AC powered pool pump up to 3 HP and because they get their power from the sun, you will never have an electric bill.

Solar pool pumps can not only be used for pool water filtration, but for fountains, water features, pond aeration, circulating water for aqua culture or to irrigate small farms. They were designed for use as a stand-alone water delivery system.

In order to appropriately size your system, we need some additional information:

1)     What is the volume of your pool or would you provide the length, width and average depth?

2)    Where will the system be installed, i.e. city, state, country?

3)    What type of filter is in the system? (cartridge, sand, DE)

4)    What is the horsepower of your current motor and how many hours do you run the pump (this is for informational purposes and has no affect on sizing the system)?

5)    What is the net cost per kilo-watt-hour (kWh) in your region that includes taxes and surcharges?  This is acquired by taking the total on the bill and dividing by the total kWh consumed for the month.

6)     What is the pipe diameter and the approximate length of run from the pump, to the pool and back?

7)     Do you have a pool heater and if so, what type? (thermal, gas, electric)

8)     Do you have an automated vacuum or in-floor cleaning system?  If so, what kind?

9)     Do you have an attached spa?

10)   Do you a water features such as an edgeless pool, waterfall or fountain?

11)   Do you have an additional pump to power any of the additional features of your pool?
