Yes. We stock full-size solar fridges for off-grid homes, cabins, and remote facilities.

Yes. Technically, any fridge can with enough panels and a big enough inverter. But a solar-powered refrigerator is specifically made for this application with DC compressors, heavy insulation, and low power draw. You need way less solar capacity to run one of these compared to converting a standard AC fridge with an inverter.

Smaller Sundanzer units run on as little as 100-200 watts of solar. The full-size SunStar 16CF needs 400-600 watts. The ambient temperature and how often you open the door matter. Don’t overlook your battery bank since the fridge has to stay powered overnight, too.

10-15+ years in many cases. SunStar and Sundanzer both use high-quality compressors for continuous off-grid use. There’s no inverter conversion wearing out components, so you have fewer failure points than a conventional setup running through an inverter.
